New Showroom Boosts Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge in New Zealand

The complex, which also houses Mercedes-Benz, has been developed for Armstrong Prestige on a 6864sqm site near the central city, fronting the new Blenheim Road deviation at the western end of Moorhouse Ave, in a road appropriately named Detroit Place.

Two years in the planning the state-of-the-art facility is described as world class, providing significant benefits to customers including larger and more comfortable facilities, plenty of parking and less cluttered sales, service and business areas, along with two cafes, plus modern parts and service areas with 14 service bays.

It follows the opening of the all-new Armstrong Prestige Chrysler Jeep Dodge showroom in Dunedin.

Together, the new showrooms will help to build the presence of Chrysler Jeep and Dodge brands in the South Island, continuing their growth throughout New Zealand.

The three iconic American nameplates have gone through a significant growth phase in recent years. Chrysler has built a strong car line-up with its PT Cruiser small car, 300C large sedan, Crossfire sports car and Voyager people recently being joined by the Sebring mid-size sedan. Jeep has also grown its product offerings, with the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited and Compass joining the Wrangler 2-door, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Commander this year – and in August the new Jeep Patriot arrives. The Dodge brand was officially launched in New Zealand last year when the Caliber crossover arrived and has recently been joined by the Nitro SUV and shortly gets a third product when the new Avenger mid-size passenger car arrives.
